Staff Management:

  • Supervise, lead, and motivate housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Schedule and allocate daily tasks to housekeeping team members.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures in all housekeeping activities.

Operational Management:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, corridors, lobby, public restrooms, and other common areas.
  • Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are met.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of cleaning schedules and checklists.
  • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.

Inventory & Supplies Management:

  • Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Order and ensure timely procurement of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Assist in preparing and managing the housekeeping department's budget.
  • Monitor expenses and work to maintain cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Implement cost control measures, including the effective use of supplies and reducing waste.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
  • Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring staff are properly trained on handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Oversee the proper disposal of waste and recyclables.

Guest Satisfaction:

  • Monitor guest feedback and ensure prompt resolution of complaints related to cleanliness and housekeeping services.
  • Ensure that special requests, such as additional amenities or room arrangements, are handled efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of service that contribute to positive guest experiences and repeat business.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping or hotel management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
